In this week’s episode of the Garlic Marketing Show, Ian speaks with David Riklan, the owner and founder of Self-Growth.com. David describes the secrets of marketing, coaching business, consulting and why he started this business. David states that:

 

“Self- Growth originally was a directory of the best websites to do with goal setting, stress management, and public speaking, and it became a resource. I was looking in creating a central resource that people can come and find the best self-improvement, self-help stuff there is on the internet.”

 

He expresses that it’s not just website, but the content is the king. Content makes the website come to life, it adds value and tells the story.

David describes how “you can see forever if you stand on the shoulders of giants” meaning that as the individuals you can do so much better if you find people that are already successful and leverage what they are doing. Relationships are also key. Building relationships within your network are vital to not only leveraging your marketing but also they can potentially help you.
