“Until one is committed, there’s hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then God moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occured. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. How important is cultivating the right mindset?

In business and in life we’ll be faced with challenges. Over the years I’ve made it a point to be cultivate the right mindset.

Especially when it comes to marketing, because we’re often looking at our competition and think that what’s working for them is the key to their success.

When it comes to marketing we have to look at the complete picture. We have to account for things like human evolution and fundamental attribution error. These just a few of the challenges that we face.

In this episode I’ll explain the steps you can start taking to cultivate the right mindset in your marketing, life and business. Visit www.iangarlic.com/taomindset for a special gift created just for you.

I was a trader for a large hedge fund for nearly 10 years before getting into marketing. I had a trading account valued at five million dollars and I was very good at what I did.

My biggest take away was that the most successful traders are mathematics. The news you see in the market is already old news. No matter how much time you spend learning about these companies, you don’t know.

There are marketing pressures that we can’t even talk about like entropy. Nassim Taleb is one of the most successful traders and author of The Black Swan. The premise is that there are unforeseen circumstances that we can not predict like Hurricane Katrina and 9/11.

So what should you invest in? Where should you put your hard earned cash to protect yourself against unstable market conditions?

In this episode I share the my #1 investment strategy that will always guarantee ROI. This strategy works so well that it doesn’t need a disclaimer.

Are taking advantage of the second most used search engine?

In this episode I explain the importance of using video as content marketing strategy to become more known, like, and trusted.

When we see people's face,  we start to like them. This goes back to our caveman brain. When we say someone regularly, we began to like and trust them. How often have you ever seen a celebrity in person and felt like you known them? Because you see them everywhere on TV. This same type of “celebrity effect” is available for you and your business.

I’m convinced that video outperforms all other forms of marketing. It's also a powerful tool for delivering value and building relationships.

Michelle Sparrow, a criminal defense attorney from North Carolina, recently shared her story. Michelle considered pursuing social work before getting into law. But she never shared this side of her story on video. Can you imagine the impact of her message now?

Listen to this episode to learn 12 ways you can start using video to impact your business today.
